BIOGRAPHY
Ian is a project manager and materials engineer with experience resolving structure and roadway materials-related issues for projects throughout California. Ian has helped clients refine contract specifications, test methods, and materials management techniques, and has particular expertise in asphalt and roadway materials. In addition to his Professional Engineer license, he holds an AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification and an Asphalt Mix Design Technology Certification from the Asphalt Institute.
Ian has worked with Alta Vista for the past six years, and is currently a project manager for several material testing contracts in northern California. He also leads business development pursuits for roadway materials engineering and testing contracts, and serves as the functional leader overseeing training and development for our pavement materials engineers.
Ian holds a bachelor’s degree in civil environmental engineering from the University of California, Davis, with a minor in construction management. In his free time, Ian enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, shooting sporting clays, and learning to play the piano.
