The ideal candidate will have experience in any combination of contract management, contract administration and construction compliance.  This position will be will be responsible for maintaining project records, review project documentation, as well as assisting senior project staff in the administration of projects.

This is a full-time position located in New York.  Some travel may be required.


  • Review daily submittals, RFIs, contractor invoices and quality/material acceptance documents
  • Execute a wide variety of general administrative duties supporting the engineering team, including report and spreadsheet preparation
  • Draft meeting agendas and record minutes
  • Draft official correspondence
  • Assist with preparing presentations
  • Audit Design-Builder’s project records to monitor compliance
  • Assist with project close-out and acceptance
  • Support project staff with management of disputes and potential claims
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms, as necessary
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned


  • Effective written, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team involving staff, clients and outside agencies
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and AutoCAD
  • Basic understanding of CPM/Construction Scheduling
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including identifying data quality issues
  • Strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize activities and work with limited supervision
  • Detail minded
  • Results oriented and able to complete tasks on deadline with little supervision
  • Ability to make good decisions using sound, professional judgment


  • 3 years of construction inspection or construction administration experience required
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
  • E.I.T. preferred
  • NYSDOT or NYSTA experience preferred
  • Previous design-build experience preferred
  • Valid New York driver’s license required
