Alta Vista Focuses on Port and Rail, Hiring Silvana Cecchin as Southern California Regional Manager

Richmond, Calif. – June 26, 2019 — Alta Vista Solutions (Alta Vista) today announced that Silvana Cecchin, P.E. has joined the company as Southern California Regional Manager. With specialized expertise in airports and rail, her initial focus will be to further develop the Southern California market and expand Alta Vista’s work in the air, rail, and port sectors. Cecchin has extensive technical experience, and has contributed to some of the country’s largest and most complex infrastructure programs. She most recently led operations and business development for the western region at CMTS LLC, where she headed the company’s business development, marketing, staffing and client satisfaction functions in addition to other critical business functions.

Their focus on using innovation and originality to improve our infrastructure really makes them a unique force in the area,” said Cecchin. “I’m eager to help expand on that foundation and continue improving mobility both locally and across the U.S.”

Mazen Wahbeh, Ph.D., P.E., owner of Alta Vista, commented, “Silvana understands management of large-scale programs, and she has a proven track record of maximizing growth potential across markets.” Wahbeh also expressed excitement about the company’s efforts to improve mobility in the Southern California area, especially as the region prepares for the 2028 Olympic Games. “She has local understanding of the area, and her expertise will be crucial in bringing new infrastructure solutions to the Los Angeles region,” he said.

Ms. Cecchin has 18 years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the Catholic University of Cordoba in Argentina. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York, Nevada and California (pending).
