TRANSIT ASSET MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, INSPECTION OF STRUCTURES
Alta Vista is currently inspecting and rating light rail and roadway bridges, tunnels, subway stations, aerial structures, pedestrian over and under crossings, and retaining walls within the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) Rail Line system. Our team provides the Metro Rail Line with structural inspection services, including hazard analysis and structure safety analysis.
Our team manages 444inspections of 235 bridges, tunnels, stations and other facilities across the entire county using six sigma processes. For the Metro Rail system, our planning stage involves recon, research, and coordination with relevant authorities.
For this project, Alta Vista helped develop an asset management tailored tablet operated application called Data Recon which allows dispatch, inspection, and engineering teams to perform all functions directly on the application, eliminating transfer errors and significantly speeding up report generation. This technology can generate a 300-page inspection report within 30 minutes of completing the inspection.
